Omnisphere by Spectrasonics is one tasty looking Virtual Instrument which I have drooled over many times since it was first announced. This ‘Power Synth’ has a price tag of around £300 but you could get it for around half that at MV Education if you’re a student (or know one). The price tag may seem steep but its got a 50 gig sound bank with awesome sounds that you won’t find elsewhere, both synthetic, real world and off the wall like the burning piano patch. The interface and modules are all high standard and easy to use with features such as the ability to zoom into sections for more advanced users.
